President Barack Obama revealed on Wednesday that he was in favor of same-sex couples marrying. Pressure had been growing on him to take a stand on the issue for a while now, although his vice president’s appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press precipitated his decision to clarify his views and to put an end to the widespread speculation.
