A Memorable Event for Dads no comments
After I and my students finished our mini-concert for dads at the campus, my students gave their father’s day gifts, along with the personalized cards they did for their dads. Their fathers seem to be well-pleased with their son’s/daughter’s efforts. The program lasted for about 2 and ½ hours only. These hours included the dinner, announcements, special numbers, and some memorable speeches for dad. This was the first mini-concert we’ve done for dads in this school. After the successful event, I congratulated my students for a job well done. The principal even invited everyone for a mini-dinner celebration because she too, was well-pleased with the event.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul has repeatedly complained about Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke‘s monetary policy which the 77-year-old representative claims is eroding the value of the greenback. In addition, Dr. Paul has long been a fervent supporter of gold and silver, which tend to go up in price when the dollar weakens against other currencies. It is therefore not surprising to hear that the Texas congressman has invested a large proportion of his wealth in precious metals.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul has no plan to endorse Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, he told CNBC’s Futures Now on Thursday. When he spoke to Fox News a week ago, Dr. Paul told the channel that he was not ready to announce who he would be voting for.
Unemployment rate falls below 8 percent no comments

The Department of Labor announced on Friday that the official unemployment rate had decreased from 8.1 percent in August to 7.8 percent in September. This is the first time in 44 months that the jobless rate has fallen below the eight-percent (8%) mark.
Bloomberg poll: Obama 49%, Romney 43% no comments
A new national survey conducted for Bloomberg News between Sept. 21 and Sept. 24 shows that President Barack Obama would garner 49 percent of the votes were the Nov. 6 election held today. Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is currently the favorite of 43 percent of voters. Just over 10 percent of their supporters could still be persuaded to change their minds between now and the contest.

The U.S. embassy in Islamabad has released a series of advertisements showing President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemning the controversial film depicting Prophet Muhammad as a child molester, a womanizer and a ruthless killer in an attempt to placate Muslims in Pakistan. According to the embassy, the ads will be shown on seven Pakistani television stations and will cost the taxpayer $70,000 to air.

President Barack Obama spoke to his Libyan, Egyptian and Yemeni counterparts in the past couple of days following the death of four American diplomats in Benghazi, Libya, on Tuesday. Unconfirmed reports suggest that one of the victims, U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, may have been raped before he was killed.

President Barack Obama will give his acceptance speech tonight in the Time Warner Cable Arena and not the Bank of America Stadium as originally planned. Although the last-minute change of venue is being blamed on the inclement weather, rumors suggest that the Obama campaign was unable to fill the 74,000-seater stadium and decided to move to a much smaller venue to avoid embarrassment.
